Proudly Australian brand Minosa, has been designing and manufacturing premium bathroom wares in Sydney since being co-founded by cabinet maker Darren Genner and interior designer, Simona Castagna in 2001. The design duo have now launched a showroom presence and personalised bathroom product selection and bathroom design service in Melbourne.
Minosa’s location within the Abey showroom in York Street South Melbourne is testament to the ability of Minosa product to stand with ease in the company of other high quality innovative European brands. The expanded service is an adjunct to Minosa’s successful Sydney lifestyle showroom concept that has been at the forefront of showcasing in-situ bathroom displays in the Australian marketplace. We wanted to meet demand from the Melbourne marketplace with a standard that’s consistent with the brand values and quality that we hold dear to our boutique operational level,” says Genner.
In keeping with Minosa’s philosophy of crafting bespoke, artisan products, a one on one consultation service is provided by appointment only. The premise is to ensure adequate time to assess the individual requirements and preferences of a client, void of sales pressure or interruptions. “We work with clients to arrive at their ideal bathroom, whether that be the ultimate spa haven or chill out retreat, or a high traffic family wet area or powder room,” says Castagna.
For this reason, products are not displayed on mass. Instead five tailored bathroom vignettes in the Melbourne showroom allow people to imagine, see and feel the quality of the product, to experience the brand and to get a sense of the ambience and lifestyle that can be achieved.
“We not only like to explore the different aesthetic possibilities using different products from the Minosa range, but to also provide information about the distinguishing features of our range, “enthuses Genner.

The consultancy appointment service in Melbourne is provided by Interior Designer Angela Pavone. Pavone brings extensive experience from the bathroom product industry to the role and works closely with Genner and Castagna who provide the consultancy service in Sydney.
